Fall 2018 golf update
Greetings from Wolfdancer Golf Club!
Effective November 1st, 2018 the resort has installed gates at the entrance to the resort for safety.
All golfers will need to get a parking ticket to enter the property. However, you will not be charged for parking
as we will validate your ticket when you arrive in the golf shop or after your round.
Fall has finally arrived! What a strange weather pattern we have experienced this year. We had a late winter freeze that effected
many of our greens that went dormant for the first time in many years. We had areas on 5 greens that never recovered until this fall
due to the weather factor and the fact that the PH in our water was out of balance. Thank you to Peter Clark and his agronomy team
for dealing with the lack of growth, applications of fertilizers and several aggressive practices to make us whole again.
With all the rain this fall, we have been around 3 weeks behind in our fall golf preparation but are catching up quickly. You will see our
tees scalped and winter seed applied for the fall and winter so our practice facility will be down to one tee box as the others will remain closed until
the grass grows in. The course is wild and wooly right now due to all the rain and the native areas are the thickest I have seen in years!
We appreciate your patience and patronage this year as its been challenging compared to years past!
And if you ever have any questions or comments, my door is always open!
Best wishes for low scores,
Kelly O'Donnell, PGA Director of Golf Operations
